Waterfalls

Waterfalls are great for blocking out the sounds of the city with white noise, but to get a really nice effect with a waterfall you need to have grade and if no grade is available but you have space then grade can be manipulated to create one. The higher the top of the waterfall is from the surface of the pond the more white noise you will have.
